SUMMER METAL CLASSES:
Metal Sculpture, Metal Furniture, Creative Blacksmithing I & II, Metalworks without Welding
SVA Summer Semester Metal Classes begin the first week of June 2013.
Metal Furniture and Metal Sculpture classes are at the School of Visual Arts Sculpture Building in Chelsea. No experience is necessary… learn the basics of metal cutting, forming and welding and get one-on-one guidance with developing your creative vision. The classes include access to a state-of-the-art facility outside of class time. Students with prior experience work on independent projects and get individualized instruction on advanced techniques. Want to learn Blacksmithing? New York City’s first and only blacksmithing classes are offered through SVA, and take place at She-Weld studio in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Beginning and advanced classes are available and in the summer are good, hot- really hot- fun!
